Full Plan Terms
1. Overview
This Hardware Protection Plan ("Plan") is offered by TABL Service LLC ("TABL," "we," "us," or "our") and provides limited protection against accidental damage and certain covered hardware and operating system failures affecting eligible hardware devices provided by TABL to customers as part of TABL's services. This Plan is sold separately from the covered hardware and is subject to the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions set forth herein.
By purchasing this Plan, the customer ("Customer," "you," or "your") agrees to these terms and conditions.
2. Coverage Term
Coverage begins on the shipment date of the covered hardware and continues for a period of six (6) months ("Coverage Term").
Coverage automatically expires at the end of the Coverage Term or upon fulfillment of the maximum claim benefit described in this Plan, whichever occurs first.
This Plan is non-transferable and applies only to the specific hardware device for which the Plan was originally purchased. Coverage may not be assigned, transferred, sold, or otherwise conveyed to another person, entity, or device.
Replacement of a covered device under this Plan does not restart, renew, extend, or otherwise modify the original Coverage Term. Coverage expires on the original expiration date established by the shipment date of the originally covered device.
Coverage under this Plan is available only to customers located within the forty-eight (48) continental United States. TABL reserves the right to deny claims or refuse shipment of replacement devices to addresses outside that area, including Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, possessions, and international destinations.
3. Eligible Hardware
This Plan may apply to eligible hardware provided by TABL to customers for use with TABL services, including but not limited to:
- Android tablets
- BBPOS WisePOS E card readers
- Stripe Reader M2 devices
Coverage is limited exclusively to the originally covered device identified at the time of Plan purchase. This Plan does not apply to replacement devices, substitute devices, loaner equipment, or any device not specifically associated with the original Plan purchase.
TABL reserves the right to determine whether a device is eligible for coverage under this Plan.
4. Coverage Details
Subject to the limitations and exclusions contained herein, TABL will repair or replace covered hardware that experiences accidental physical damage or a Covered Operational Failure during the Coverage Term.
- Drops: accidental drops resulting in functional damage to the covered device.
- Spills: accidental liquid spills that cause the covered device to malfunction or become inoperable.
- Screen cracks: accidental cracks, shattering, or breakage of a device screen that impair usability or functionality.
Covered Operational Failures include:
- Manufacturer Defects: defects in materials or workmanship that result in failure of the covered device during normal intended use.
- Hardware Failures: failure of internal components including charging ports, power buttons, displays, speakers, cameras, wireless communication components, and other essential hardware required for normal operation.
- Operating System Failure: corruption, malfunction, or failure of the manufacturer-provided operating system that renders the device substantially unusable and cannot be resolved through standard troubleshooting procedures.
- Firmware Failure: failure resulting from manufacturer-provided firmware or operating system updates that cause the covered device to become inoperable or substantially impaired.
- Connectivity Failure: failure of built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular communication hardware that materially impairs the intended operation of the covered device.
- Electrical Failure: damage or malfunction caused by ordinary power fluctuations, electrical surges, or charging-system failures not resulting from misuse or unauthorized accessories.
- Dead-on-Arrival Devices: devices that arrive defective or become inoperable within thirty (30) days after shipment due to manufacturing defects.
Upon approval of a valid claim, TABL will, at its sole discretion, repair the covered device or provide a replacement device at no additional cost. Replacement devices may be new, refurbished, or equivalent devices of comparable functionality and performance, as determined by TABL in its sole discretion.
5. Claim Limit
Coverage under this Plan is limited to one (1) approved claim per covered device during the Coverage Term.
Once an approved replacement has been provided, coverage under this Plan immediately terminates for that device.
6. Claim Reporting Requirements
Claims must be submitted to TABL within seven (7) calendar days of the covered event. Failure to report the damage within seven (7) calendar days may result in denial of coverage.
TABL may require reasonable documentation supporting the claim, including:
- Proof of Plan purchase
- Device identification information
- Description of the incident
- Photographs of the damage
- Any additional information reasonably requested by TABL
7. Claim Process
To submit a claim, the Customer must:
- Contact TABL through its designated support channels within seven (7) calendar days of the damage event.
- Provide all requested documentation and information.
- Obtain claim approval from TABL.
- Upon claim approval, receive the replacement device and return the damaged device in accordance with Section 9 below.
Claims must be approved by TABL before any replacement device will be shipped. Submission of a claim does not guarantee approval.
TABL reserves the right to approve or deny claims based on the information provided, inspection results, and compliance with the requirements of this Plan.
8. Replacement Devices
Upon approval of a claim and satisfaction of all Plan requirements, TABL will provide a replacement device at no additional charge.
Replacement devices may be new, refurbished, or equivalent devices of comparable functionality and performance, as determined by TABL in its sole discretion.
Any replacement device provided under this Plan shall not create a new coverage period, extend the existing coverage period, or provide additional claim eligibility beyond the original Coverage Term and claim limit established for the originally covered device.
For approved claims involving Covered Operational Failures, TABL may ship a replacement device before receipt of the original device, subject to the return requirements set forth in Section 9.
Approved replacement devices will be shipped together with return instructions and a prepaid return shipping label for the damaged device. Customers are responsible for timely return of the damaged device in accordance with Section 9 of this Plan.
9. Return of Original Hardware
As a condition of receiving replacement hardware, the Customer must return the original damaged device to TABL using the prepaid return shipping label included with the replacement hardware shipment ("RMA Shipment").
TABL will ship the approved replacement device prior to receiving the damaged hardware. The replacement shipment will include instructions and a prepaid return shipping label for return of the damaged device.
The Customer must return the damaged device within fourteen (14) calendar days after delivery of the replacement device unless otherwise authorized in writing by TABL.
Failure to return the damaged device within the required timeframe may result in:
- Charges for the replacement device;
- Suspension of future coverage eligibility;
- Ineligibility for future coverage programs offered by TABL;
- Suspension or limitation of hardware replacement benefits; or
- Other remedies available to TABL under applicable law.
Ownership of any replacement device remains subject to compliance with the return requirements of this Plan.
